FUN FACT:  The Hawaiian term for colors is Nā Waihoʻoluʻu  (nah  vye-hoh • oh-loo • ooh), which also means “dyes.” Hawaiians dyed their Kapa (kah-pah), cloth made from the fibrous bark of the Wauke (vow-keh) plant, with various berries, leaves, and roots.

BONUS WORD:

PINK  >>   ʻĀKALA    (ah-kah-lah)
